Meet the Project Team
Ben Gillespie
Project Manager
Ben is a fifth year Engineering student, majoring in Mechanical and Material Systems. He is a Canberra local and has a keen interest in manufacturing processes and the practical, hands-on component of projects. Ben also has experience in Finite Element Analysis, material optimisation and managerial processes. Ben will be responsible for external stakeholder engagement and will lead the manufacturing processes.
Tess Henman
Team Leader
Tess is a fifth year Engineering and Science student, majoring in Mechanical and Material Systems. She is a Canberra local and is interested in biomechanics and the application of engineering concepts to biomedical contexts. Tess also has experience in CAD modelling and Finite Element Analysis, and is currently working on a project focused around modelling and 3D printing ergonomic designs. Tess will join Ben in stakeholder engagement and manufacturing, and will assist Rudransh with FEA validation methods.
Rudransh Katiyar
Mechanical & Materials Lead
Rudransh is a fourth year Engineering student, majoring in Mechanical and Material Systems. He has a keen interest in bio-mechanical systems and valuable experience with different CAD modelling, Finite Element Analysis and 3D rendering softwares. With this experience, he will lead the team in the mechanical modelling of the system and testing and validations procedures.
Guanghao Tan
Electronic & Communications Specialist
Guanghao is majoring in Communication and Electronic Engineering, with developed skills in data analysis, data processing and 3D modelling. He is currently completing a project centred around Machine Learning and is keen to combine his great interest in biomedical science with these technical skills. With this expertise, Guanghao will be contributing to the conceptual design of an electronic sensor system for the clamp, alongside the implementation of a mechanical sensor.
Junru Zhao
Electronic & Communications Specialist
Junru is a fourth year Engineering student, majoring in Electronic and Communication systems. His research interests are deep learning and network acceleration. Other skills include data analysis, signal processing, and designing circuit-based and embedded systems. Junru will be joining Guanghao in leading electronic sensor design and mechanical sensor implementation.
